Mobilisation of the civil protection

The COVID-19 crisis was an opportunity for the civil protection to show its ability to react quickly and effectively through an unprecedented mobilisation. Members of the civil protection were of great assistance for many cantonal health institutions, as well as the CHUV, in terms of transportation, logistics and pharmacy.

This tent, which had been set up in the ambulance shed, could have accommodated up to 20 simultaneous consultations. It never had to be used.

The tent was equipped with an airflow specifically designed to prevent the spread of the virus.

In the eye of the storm

Four photographers from the CHUV received the mission to capture the way the health crisis was handled in the hospital centre from every possible angle. Here is a selection of their work, which is essentially a tribute to the thousands of professionals who have been doing their utmost for many months at the service of the population.
